MassRoots, The social network for marijuana lovers

Born in July ’13, Massroots Inc. grows, strengthens and prepares to break through. On the social network dedicated to marijuana society – to the worldwide cannabis lovers – you can count more than 80 thousand monthly active users, which weave valuable relationships, creating a concrete comparison. In other words Massroots is an alternative to Facebook, Twitter, Instagraam or other platforms too much busy to ensure privacy. MassRoots Co- founder , Tyler Knight, said to Herald newspaper: “In many cases, a typical user’s family, co-workers and employers, can follow them on these networks, placing their social and professional reputations at risk. By providing a platform where users are not required to provide personally-identifiable information, MassRoots offers a semi-anonymous environment where users feel comfortable posting about cannabis related topics and experiences.”Given that the potential growth of the social network, the Dutchess Opportunity Fund II (investment company) ,  has funded the project with approximately $ 475,000 (this funding is in addition to the January’s one of ArcView, of $ 150,000 round). Maybe the Investors read that within the next five years , 14 additional states are projected to legalize recreational use of cannabis and that the estimated growth for the marijuana industry starts from $ 1.58 billion in 2013 to reach 10.2 billion in 2018 ( ArcView ).
